Infonary started the way most worthwhile things do — with a group of people who couldn’t stop arguing about the news. We’re talking heated debates over coffee about everything from the latest Oscar snubs (because let’s be honest, the Academy gets it wrong more often than they get it right) to breakthroughs in quantum computing that none of us fully understand but all of us find fascinating.

We’re a small editorial team with backgrounds spanning journalism, cultural criticism, and — somewhat improbably — architecture. That last one wasn’t planned, but when your senior writer spent a decade covering urban development for print publications before pivoting to digital media, you end up with surprisingly strong opinions about brutalism.
